The drift refers to the shared unconsciousness of humanity, akin to an undertow or current that reflects our fundamental underlying assumptions. In essence, it is the pervasive societal context that we all operate within, much like the water in which we swim.
Moreover, there exist numerous smaller drifts within society, encompassing various groups such as cliques, ethnicities, religions, families, clubs, organizations, nations, races, and more. Essentially, almost every social entity has its own underlying collective unconscious, which is commonly referred to as 'the drift' in the [re] WIRED for Peace training and in the Gratitude Context.
